About joining

Who can join?

  • Fully licensed clinicians: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, and equivalent.
  • You don't need to have a private practice; members include clinicians in group practices who aren't getting the support they need, and clinicians just starting to build.
  • What I can't accommodate is pre-licensed clinicians seeking supervision hours. Consultation and supervision are different rooms.

I'm licensed in a different state (or country). Can I still join?

  • Yes. Consultation doesn't fall under licensure rules, so you can join from any state.
  • I have members from several countries.

How do I join?

  • It starts with a Discovery Chat: twenty minutes with me, no pressure, no pitch.
  • We talk about your practice and what you're looking for, and I make sure a group would genuinely serve you before you commit a dollar.
  • Then you join the next group of 6 to 8 clinicians who all begin together.

What if I don't want to wait for the next Intensive?

  • Occasionally a spot opens in an established group. When that happens, I fill it the same way I build groups: Discovery Chat first, then a thoughtful match.
  • Mention it on our call and I'll tell you whether there's a group that fits.
About the groups

When and where do groups meet?

  • All sessions are held via Zoom through a HIPAA-compliant platform, on weekdays between 9am and 5pm Eastern.
  • Your group's specific day and time is set before you commit, so you'll know exactly what you're saying yes to.

What's the schedule?

  • Your group meets six times over three months: weekly for the first month, then twice monthly.
  • Your first session runs 90 minutes; every session after is a focused 55 minutes.
  • Groups that continue past the Intensive meet twice a month.

What will the makeup of my group be?

  • Deliberately mixed.
  • Newer clinicians bring fresh training and questions that pull veterans back to the fundamentals.
  • Seasoned clinicians bring depth and pattern recognition.
  • Different modalities, different populations, different eyes on your cases. That mix is the point.

Do I have to bring a case to every session?

  • No. Some of the most valuable sessions for members are the ones where they came empty-handed and someone else's question answered one they didn't know they had.

Is this like a Facebook group?

  • No, this is completely different.
  • Facebook groups have no facilitation, no confidentiality protections, no curation, and no continuity. CollabOasis is the opposite on every count: small, closed, facilitated, curated, and the same trusted faces every session.
About money and commitment

What does it cost?

  • A CollabOasis session is $100.
  • The three-month Intensive, all six sessions, is $600, or two payments of $300.
  • If your group continues, ongoing membership is $200 per month, and your rate is locked for as long as you're a member.
  • No enrollment fees, no tiers.

Is it tax-deductible?

  • Consultation is a professional expense, so usually yes.
  • Your accountant can confirm for your situation.

What happens after the three months?

  • Your group decides together whether to continue as a CollabOasis group.
  • If you continue, payment is debited monthly and the commitment is month to month.
  • If it's not right for you, the three months are complete and you owe nothing further.

How does payment work?

  • The intensive is paid at enrollment.
  • Ongoing membership is auto-debited monthly from your card on file.

I was taught consultation should be free. Why would I pay for this?

I wrote a whole section about this, because you deserve a real answer, not a sales line.

The short version: what costs money is the structure.

  • A facilitator in every session
  • a curated group
  • a closed room
  • a consistent rhythm.

Free consultation gave most of us sporadic input with no facilitation and no confidentiality. When it mattered most, it wasn't there.
